Invoicing software for freelancers who've outgrown templates.
You don't need QuickBooks. You need to send a clean estimate, turn it into an invoice, and get paid by card or ACH — without per-client limits or a price that climbs every time you land work.

When a template stops paying off
A Word or Google Docs invoice gets you a long way, and there's no shame in it. You switch when the admin starts eating the hours you could be billing: you can't remember who's paid, you're chasing the same client for the third time, and you re-used last month's invoice number by accident. That's the moment software starts paying for itself.
PayPolka picks up exactly there. Send an estimate the client can accept online, turn it into an invoice with a payment link, and let automatic reminders do the nudging. If you want the longer version — what an invoice actually needs and how the tools compare — the invoicing software guide covers it.
One flat price, no client caps
The freelance suites do more, and they charge for it — tiered plans that cap billable clients on the entry tier and climb as you grow. PayPolka is one price: $5/month during beta — locked in for life while you stay subscribed — and $9 standard for accounts created after, with unlimited clients and invoices either way. You're not rationing clients to stay on a cheaper plan, and you're not paying for a bookkeeping department you'll never open.
Everything a one-person shop needs, nothing it doesn't
From estimate to invoice in a click
Send a quick estimate, let the client accept it online, then turn it into an invoice — the full amount, or a deposit and final balance. No re-typing line items into a fresh document.
Get paid faster
Every invoice carries a payment link. Clients pay by card, ACH, or Cash App Pay through your own Stripe account, and money settles on your own Stripe payout schedule. ACH keeps the fees low on bigger invoices.
Not accounting software — on purpose
PayPolka is the billing layer, not a ledger. One flat price, unlimited clients and invoices, no per-seat upcharge. If you need full bookkeeping, keep QuickBooks; if you just need to bill and get paid, this is it.
Retainers without the busywork
Set up a recurring invoice for a retainer and PayPolka generates a draft each cycle for you to review and send — never sent or charged automatically. Reminders and late fees handle the follow-up.

Questions, answered.
Is there a free trial?
No. PayPolka is $5/month during beta, billed when you sign up. New accounts get a 14-day refund if it isn't the right fit — just email us. Cancel anytime.
Will the $5 price go up later?
Not for you. Sign up during beta and you keep $5/month for as long as you stay subscribed — it never rises to the $9 standard rate, which only applies to accounts created after beta ends.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes, to take card, ACH, or Cash App Pay online. Payments settle straight into your Stripe account at Stripe's standard rates with no markup from PayPolka. You can also record cash or check payments without Stripe.
Is there a limit on clients or invoices?
No. Unlimited clients, unlimited estimates, and unlimited invoices are included in the flat price — no billable-client cap like the entry plans on some freelance suites.
Can I send invoices in other currencies?
No. PayPolka is US-only and bills in US dollars. If you need multi-currency invoicing, it isn't the right tool.
Is this accounting software?
No. PayPolka covers estimates, invoices, payments, receivables, and a sales-tax summary — not full bookkeeping, payroll, or expense ledgers. It's the part most freelancers actually touch, kept simple.
